…Delegates from around the world, under the auspice of the Americas Competitiveness Exchange, are coming to the Space Coast to see what leaders in the area have done right when it comes to promoting innovation and economic growth.

The tour group, which includes high-ranking officials and dignitaries from 24 nations, are touring communities with successful economic models to help build networks and establish long-term collaborative partnerships.

The group from the Americas Competitiveness Exchange, or ACE, will tour the Florida Institute of Technology’s Center for Advanced Manufacturing and Innovative Design facility, NASA’s Kennedy Space Center and Port Canaveral.

“ACE has been consistently successful in its goal to encourage and promote development and collaboration throughout the Western Hemisphere,” John Andersen, Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Western Hemisphere, said in a statement. “The delegation will have the unique opportunity to share and promote best practices first hand with their hosts in Florida’s STEM and agriculture clusters, learning cutting-edge economic development initiatives that strengthen innovation and promote potential foreign direct investment partnerships among the hosts and participants.”
