Several local business leaders and elected officials attended, including Kennedy Space Center Director Bob Cabana, who also spoke at the event and praised KSC’s longstanding partnership with Brevard Workforce that has resulted in helping more than 6,000 former aerospace workers with career transition.

Brevard Workforce President Lisa Rice addressed the guests by stressing the business-focused mission of Brevard Workforce. Ms. Rice said by focusing on businesses’ needs, Brevard Workforce can quickly and efficiently place more people in more jobs.

Brevard Workforce Board of Directors Chairman Jack Rood also spoke at the event, crediting much of the Workforce’s successes to the leadership of Ms. Rice and the workforce team and reinforcing the value of Brevard Workforce’s services and urging businesses to take advantage of them.

Other speakers included Gena Argila from EFM, Inc., and Allan Riggs from Infratech. Both employer-customers successfully utilized Brevard Workforce’s services to find new employees and shared their experiences with attendees.

The Rockledge career center opened its doors to the public on June 23, 2011. At roughly 21,000 square feet, the Rockledge career center is the largest of Brevard Workforce’s three career centers, which are also located in Titusville and Palm Bay.
