VETERANS EMPLOYMENT INITIATIVE HELPS VETS CONQUER EMPLOYMENT

All US Veterans and immediate family members are eligible for this FREE 6-week workshop. Program begins May 17, 2017.

Brevard County, FL – Veterans and immediate family members who are seeking entrepreneurship, employment, and/or continuing education opportunities are encouraged to participate in the Veterans Employment Initiative (VEI) program, made possible by the Goodwill Industries of Central Florida, Inc., Manpower, CareerSource Brevard (CSB), Veterans Resource Council of the Melbourne Regional Chamber and Brevard Achievement Center.

The free, 6-week program begins 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 17, at Goodwill’s Melbourne Job Connection Center, located at 2245 Coastal Lane, West Melbourne, FL 32904.

Workshop sessions will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesdays and Graduation will be at 9:00 a.m. on June 21.

This inclusive workshop is designed to prepare 30-50 veterans and/or their immediate family members for today’s job market. Participants will receive tools, training, and mentorship focused on helping them obtain a job or career, become an entrepreneur, or further their education. The interactive workshop provides participants with invaluable access to several local companies for networking and interviewing opportunities, and is available to all US Veterans and their immediate families, whether disabled or not.

Participating companies include, but are not limited to:  Hilton Melbourne Rialto Place, Lowe’s Home Improvement Warehouse, Manpower, Comprehensive Health Services, The Home Depot, Brevard Achievement Center, Rockwell Collins, RGNext LLC and many others.
