ANNUAL AWARDS CEREMONY FOR YOUNG ADULTS HELD AT CAREERSOURCE BREVARD IN JUNE

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA- CareerSource Brevard, the area authority on workforce development, hosted their 4th annual NextGen Program awards ceremony, INSPIRE 2015, at 4p.m.on Thursday, June 4 at CareerSource Brevard’s Rockledge career center.

Honorees of the NextGen program, along with their guests enjoyed an afternoon, sponsored by Community Credit Union that included: refreshments, entertainment, an awards presentation and more than $500 in career development related door prizes.

The Not Quite Right Comedy Improv Troupe of Melbourne, FL entertained the crowd with interactive improvisational exercises fostering the importance of adaptability, teamwork, creativity and leadership.  The awards ceremony recognized participants for completing the program successfully and achieving their goals.

NextGen is a no cost program of CareerSource Brevard for eligible young adults seeking to gain work experience, enter the job market and plan for or launch a career.

CareerSource Brevard president, Lisa Rice, who attended the event, commented,“Young adults are the future of our community. There is a critical need to make sure we equip them with the tools they need to succeed in the future. It was inspiring to witness the great energy in the room and know that we have helped steer these young adults towards a path that will positively impact their lives and help Brevard’s economy.”
