Rockledge, FLORIDA – Brevard Workforce, a local network of coordinated employment services, has appointed Denise Beasley as Communications Director.

Ms. Beasley replaces Joan Van Scyoc, who held the position of Communications Director for more than ten years.

In her role as Communications Director, Ms. Beasley will manage the outreach for Brevard Workforce programs by producing internal and external communications, managing media and public relations, and coordinating special events, among other duties.

“We are extremely pleased to have Denise on board,” said Brevard Workforce president Lisa Rice. “She is a seasoned Communications specialist with more than 20 years of experience in creative outreach strategy and business development. She’s a great fit with the mission of Brevard Workforce and our vision for the future.”

Before joining Brevard Workforce, Ms. Beasley directed the communications departments of the Greater Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce and Wuesthoff Health Systems as well as founding DoubleTake Advertising and Marketing, a full-service advertising agency based in Melbourne.A native of Chester County, Pennsylvania, Ms. Beasley moved to Brevard County in 1998 after earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from Philadelphia’s Moore College of Design. She is also a member of the Florida Public Relations Association and is currently pursuing the Florida Workforce Professional Certification. She currently resides in Melbourne with her husband and two daughters.
