The summit is being held from Nov. 8 – 10 in Atlanta.

Hundreds of workforce specialists from all around the country are scheduled to attend and present on varying topics.

Five representatives from Brevard Workforce, including President Lisa Rice, will be presenting during the two-day conference. Ms. Rice’s presentation highlights the value of integrating Business Services into career center operations.

Other Brevard Workforce representatives presenting include:

  • Director of Industry Relations Judy Blanchard, presenting on measuring performance benchmarks for Business Service representatives
  • Special Projects Manager Eric Nakamura, presenting on how to determine workforce issues within a business, and also presenting separately on virtual business engagement
  • Program Planning Officer Erica Lemp, presenting on how to implement new entrepreneurial and small business strategies
  • Business Liaison Valerie Carothers, co-presenting on how to attract alternative energy companies

The summit, in its inaugural year, has been in the works since 2010 by a small core group of workforce experts from around the country, including Ms. Rice.

“We believe Brevard Workforce has a lot to offer when it comes to Business Services,” said Ms. Rice. “This conference is a great opportunity to take our perspective to the national level.”
