Education and Training Programs

Expand your job qualifications and enhance your skills through education and training.

We provide a range of opportunities for job seekers, taking into account eligibility, suitability, and the availability of funding resources. We acquire training funds from a variety of sources, each with specific constraints that necessitate us to prioritize industries and occupations currently experiencing high demand.

Our training is exclusively available for occupations specified in our Regional Targeted Occupations List, which is a valuable tool for exploring high-demand careers in Brevard County, Florida. Sponsorship for training is applicable only to schools and programs listed on our State-approved training provider roster.

This is the opportune moment to pursue training opportunities within Brevard County’s burgeoning sectors: Manufacturing, Aviation, Aerospace, Cybersecurity, and Healthcare, particularly as a Certified Nursing Assistant.

CareerSource Brevard has experienced an unprecedented surge in scholarship applications over the past three months. The overwhelming demand for funding exceeds our current capacity to provide support at this time. Regrettably, this means that we are unable to award any additional scholarships under our WIOA Adult or Dislocated Worker programs. This decision extends to individuals who were in the process of assessment and approval but had not yet received funding. This limitation specifically pertains to our WIOA Adult and Dislocated Worker programs, which are the primary sources of funding for training programs like truck driving and nursing. However, we are still able to offer assistance in the form of scholarships for certified nursing assistant training, as well as programs in cybersecurity, manufacturing, and aerospace. We also provide various services, including scholarships, for non-custodial parents who pay child support and meet specific criteria. Additionally, young adults under 25 years of age can access services through our NextGen program.

We deeply regret any inconvenience this may cause for those seeking job training funding. We understand that this decision may significantly impact individuals seeking training assistance. Rest assured that your career advisor will remain dedicated to helping you explore alternative funding and training options, as well as providing valuable job search and other career-related assistance. We will continually evaluate the situation, and if there are changes within this funding cycle, which concludes on June 30, 2024, your career advisor will reach out to you.

For those seeking training in other industries, we can help you find additional funding opportunities as well as providing you with career and job placement assistance. For assistance, contact us using the form below.
