Brevard County, FL — CareerSource Brevard (CSB), the area authority on workforce development, announced on Tuesday, May 23, at the quarterly board meeting, plans for expansion in North Brevard. The motion to approve the executive committee’s recommendation to relocate the Titusville career center, based on the current and projected growth of business and jobs in North Brevard, was voted on and passed. The new location for the Titusville career center will be at 3880 S. Washington Ave. as of Wednesday, July 5, 2017.

CSB has been operating at the COlaunch facility in Titusville at 2323 S. Washington Ave. since July 1, 2016. Prior to that, the Titusville career center was located at 3880 S. Washington Ave. from June 2011 through June 2016, where it will return. During this transition period, the CSB on-site services will not be available Friday, June 30, 2017 through Tuesday, July 4, 2017.

Since the 2016 career center move, North Brevard has seen an economic resurgence. Currently there are more than 2,100 businesses in Titusville representing 25,457 employees and a residential population of more than 45,000. CSB plans on providing assistance to these companies through recruiting events, job fairs, and training assistance to upskill the current and future workforce.

CSB President, Marci Murphy said, “I’m very excited about the move of our Titusville career center.  It is projected that 2,600 new jobs will impact the Titusville area over the next 3 years. With the expansion of our Titusville career center, CareerSource Brevard plans on providing assistance to these new and existing companies and career seekers through recruiting events, job fairs, and training and upskilling the current and future workforce.”

“I am thrilled that the CareerSource Brevard board saw the need to reopen a full access career source center again in Titusville. It has been my vision that we take care of the citizens of North Brevard with an operation that will support not only the needs of potential employees but the greater need of existing and future employers that are investing in North Brevard.  They deserve only the best service from our organization,” stated Robert L. Jordan, Jr., Chairman, President & CEO of Genesis VII, Inc. and outgoing CSB Board Chairman.
