Free Business Learning Event – Workplace Conflict Resolution

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA-CareerSource Brevard (CSB), the area authority on workforce development, will host international best-selling author, Allan McDougall for a free Business Learning event seminar addressing workplace conflict resolution.
The seminar, will take place from 9AM- 12:00PM on Wednesday, April 13th in the Bill Posey Conference Room at the Florida Department of Health in Brevard, 2555 Judge Fran Jamieson Way, Viera. Conflict in the workplace can be extremely destructive to good teamwork. Effective conflict resolution can make the difference between positive and negative outcomes. The three hour seminar for business owners, managers and HR professionals, will help attendees learn their leadership strengths and weaknesses and how to manage and capitalize on them; the skills needed to build a healthy and persuasive vision of the future; what to do when conflict arises and how to motivate a team to achieve success. The seminar is part of an ongoing series of Business Learning events focused on bringing value and education to area employers.

Portrait of Allan McDougallAbout the speaker: Allan McDougall is a member of the United Steelworkers and is the Program Coordinator for the Emergency Response Team that serves 850,000 Union Members. As a crisis counselor, Allan responds to life altering injuries and fatalities and acts as a bridge between the company and the families of the injured or deceased workers across the nation.

Allan compliments many years of expertise with ongoing training and continued progressive study. He attended the University of Maryland where he obtained his BA, and then obtained his MS from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.
