EntrepreneurHighlight

PROFILE: Travis Peres

Often the best business ideas are sparked when we notice an unfilled need in our life, or the lives of those around us. This month we recognize Travis Peres , founder of Quix Products, an emerging (CPG) consumer products company located right here on the Space Coast. Mr. Peres has over 20 years of sales and marketing experience and opened his first business venture right out of high school. After several additional business startups he went on to join the corporate world where he worked with well-known Fortune 100 and 500 companies. Mr. Peres is launching his new business venture, Quix, in partnership with Eastman Chemical. Quix Products is the designer & producer of award winning Sports/Baby bottles. We asked Travis about his entrepreneurial journey, here’s what he had to say:

What ignited the spark in you to start your business? We would have not started our new venture if it wasn’t for our children, they inspired our business. It all started while watching my wife trying to mix a baby bottle with formula to feed our crying infant son at a restaurant “it was a hassle and a mess” and we thought there has got to be a better way. That’s why we developed Quix – The Quick Mix Formula Bottle.

To what do you most attribute your success? Drive to never give up and the thought that you can accomplish anything if you put your mind to it,

What would say are the five key elements for starting and running a successful business? Integrity, great knowledge of the industry, great team, sufficient funding and happy customers.

What has been your most satisfying moment in business? So many I have to make this short as possible; Winning multiple awards for Quix and getting a partnership with Eastman Chemical.

Where you see yourself and your business in 10 years? 20 years? We will have a successful exit (M&A) within 5yrs and at that point I will be able to give back to others interested in starting a business particularly in the CPG field. There is a need in the local area for consumer product company mentors. Being able to help others from concept to store shelf is self fulfilling.
