The Gold Card was specifically developed to provide veterans with priority services—to ensure our Veterans get what they need to succeed in today’s job market.

Veterans Priority of Service Information

The U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL) provides grants to the State of Florida to provide employment and training services to eligible residents and workers. As a condition to receiving those funds, priority of service will be given to qualified veterans and eligible family members when referring individuals to job openings, USDOL funded training programs or related services.

DD FORM 214: If you are claiming veteran preference for Federal, State, County or Municipal positions, the only documentation acceptable for this is the DD Form 214, Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty. If you do not have your DD Form 214, copy 4 (member copy), please ask one of the veterans staff to provide you with a request form SF180.
