30 BIZLAUNCH STARTUPS PARTICIPATE IN SHOWCASE ON OCTOBER 15th

Brevard County, Florida- BizLaunch at CareerSource Brevard is hosting a business Showcase on Wednesday, October 15^th from 10:00am-1:00pm at the Rockledge career center located at 295 Barnes Blvd., Rockledge to feature startup businesses who obtained entrepreneurial training through the Biz Launch program. Participants are startup companies who have developed as a result of their training through the BizLaunch program.

Featured at 11:00am will be a presentation by Daniel Rensing, President and CEO of the Rockledge based company, The Smart Baker. The 2012 contestant in the popular Friday night TV series Shark Tank, Rensing and his wife Stephanie fielded two offers, one from fashion mogul Daymond John and real estate mogul Barbara Corcoran in the response to the ask of $75k for 25% of their business.

When asked about participation in the BizLaunch Business Showcase Rensing replied, “I’m honored to be a part of the BizLaunch Business Showcase event. I look forward to speaking with all of the other entrepreneurs and sharing the story of my journey through the winding roads of business and entrepreneurship.”

Other businesses include green companies with products such as soaps, oils, scrubs, shampoos, health products, plant life and recycling services. Many of the green products are produced and sold under the Florida Cottage Industry.

Computer Services also abound.Entrepreneurs build websites, manage content, assist with search engine optimization and provide video services. Some also provide online training through web-based products within the computer services offerings.

Services for the aging population are also trending. With the aging population of Brevard County, several are targeting that market. Hair Care, Financial Services, Government Contract Consulting and Pet Services round out the array of products and services that you can expect to encounter.

As to the variety of businesses and startups CSB President Lisa Rice commented, “BizLaunch draws a diverse group of individuals who’ve decided to transition into business ownership. The showcase is an opportunity for the exhibitors to market their products and services to a broad audience. We invite the community to attend this event to support the efforts of these budding entrepreneurs.”

BizLaunch is offered weekly at both Rockledge and Palm Bay at 10:00am on Wednesdays and Thursdays respectively. There is no charge to attend the sessions.

The BizLaunch Business Showcase runs from 10:00am – 1:00pm. The public is welcome to attend. There is no charge to attend.
