Small businesses significantly impact Florida’s economy.  According to the most recent statistics available for Florida, small business represents 98.9 percent of all employers and employs 42.9 percent of the private sector labor force.  In 2010 small businesses numbered 2.1 million.  According to a survey conducted by Inc. Magazine, in the United States over 600,000 new businesses are founded each year.
