FloridaFlex – State Incentive Programs

These two incentive programs are funded by the State of Florida. Incumbent Worker Training and Quick Response Training Grants provide for a variety of business needs and types of training.

Incumbent Worker Training

The Incumbent Worker Training (IWT) grants provide funding for customized training to existing for-profit businesses. Through this grant, Brevard is able to effectively retain businesses and help them stay competitive by supporting training to upgrade skills for existing full-time employees. Structured to be flexible to meet the business’s training objectives, a business may use a public or private training provider, or may use an in-house training provider based on the nature of the training.  Learn more about the State of Florida Incumbent Worker Training.

Quick Response Training

The Quick Response Training Program (QRT) is an incentive program which awards grant funding for customized training to new or expanding businesses.  The program has been structured to “respond quickly” to meet the business’s training objectives. The Quick Response Training program helps Florida effectively retain and attract businesses creating new high-quality jobs. Our local training partner is Eastern Florida State College, through EFSC Corporate Services, and is available to help develop or deliver the customized program and to offer assistance in the application process.
