CAREERSOURCE BREVARD ANNOUNCES NEW EXECUTIVE OFFICERS FOR ITS BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Brevard County, FL–The board of directors for CareerSource Brevard (CSB), the area authority on workforce development, announced its newly elected executive officers on May 23. The board elected: Paula Just, chairperson; Patricia Stratton, vice-chair; Travis Mack, treasurer; and Robert Jordan, past chairperson.
“I’m extremely excited to have very successful business leaders from Brevard County at the helm of CareerSource Brevard for the coming year!” said President of CSB, Marci Murphy. “Having Robert Jordan as chairman of the board during my first year as President, has made for a smooth transition. His guidance and knowledge has been invaluable to both me and CareerSource Brevard. I’m pleased that he is staying on the board as past chair and will continue to help lead this organization into the next year.” Murphy added.
Just, Stratton and Mack will begin their new executive officer roles July 1.

Regarding his nomination, Saalex Solutions, Inc. President/CEO Travis Mack stated, “I am excited to be working with CareerSource Brevard in an increased capacity and continuing to promote job expansion in the Central Florida area.”
About Just:
Paula Just is the Chief Human Resources Officer for Health First. Just has 27 years of experience in healthcare human resources. She previously served as Network Vice President of Human Resource Effectiveness at SSM Health Care Corporation in St. Louis. Paula began her career at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center as a Compensation and Benefits Analyst in 1986. Since that time, she has held the position of Manager of Compensation & Benefits, Human Resource Director and Regional Recruitment Director. In addition to St. John’s Mercy Medical Center, she also worked for established health systems such as Tenet Healthcare and Missouri Baptist Medical Center, and as an adjunct professor for Webster University. Paula earned her Master’s in Business Administration with a focus on Human Resources and has a Green Belt Certification in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI). She is also a certified CQI coach and facilitator and a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.
About Stratton:
Patricia Stratton is Abacus Technology’s Vice-President and Program Manager for NASA’s Information Management and Communications Support (IMCS) contract at Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida. Stratton has over 30 years’ aerospace experience, and since 2013, she has managed IMCS support to NASA’s Ground Systems Development and Operations modification and upgrade of KSC facilities and launch systems communications infrastructure. In 2015, Stratton received NASA’s Exceptional Public Achievement Medal for “extraordinary leadership” and for being “a driving force behind implementing unprecedented improvements” to the IMCS contract. Stratton holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business from Barry University and a Master of Science degree in technical management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. She is a graduate of the Brookings Institute, the Boeing Leadership Center, and the Lockheed Martin Management Institute.
About Mack:
Travis Mack provides overall leadership and direction for Saalex, and provides executive oversight and guidance for the company’s strategic growth and tactical operational initiatives. His previous experience includes multi-year service in the U.S. Navy and Senior Technology management positions with Homestore.com, and Modis IT Consulting. He has in-depth expertise in the software applications discipline and Defense acquisition contracting. Mack holds a B.S. in Business Management and an Honorary Doctorates Degree in Business from Webber International University. He has completed the Senior Executive Management Program, Tuck School of Business, and Dartmouth College. The Junior Executive Management Program, Clark Atlanta University, and is a graduate of the USC Marshall School of Business Executive Leadership Program and is a certified Six Sigma greenbelt. Mack is a member of Southern California Aerospace Professionals (SCAPR) and the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA). He sits on the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club for Oxnard and Port Hueneme, the Board of Directors for The United Way of Ventura County, and the Brevard Workforce Development Board.
