Florida Businesses Created Nearly 30,000 #FLJobs in December

Governor Scott announced today that Florida businesses created nearly 30,000 private sector jobs in December 2017. The state’s annual job growth rate of 2.8 percent continues to exceed the nation’s rate of 1.6 percent.

More good news:

• Florida businesses have created 1,497,100 jobs since December 2010.

• Florida job postings showed more than 265,000 openings in December.

Private-sector industries gaining the most jobs over the year were: Professional and business services; construction; trade, transportation and utilities; education and health services; and manufacturing.
