NATIONAL RECRUITER RETURNS TO BREVARD ON MISSION TO REACH 1 MILLION JOB SEEKERS

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA– Absolutely Abby, National Recruiter and published author returned to Brevard County during the week of February 11, 2013. With the help of Brevard Workforce, the area authority on workforce development, Abby was able to teach four different workshops throughout the county, sharing nationally proven recruitment tips, tricks and solutions to jobseekers.

During the workshops, Abby encourages jobseekers to use social media tools, specifically LinkedIn for their job search. More than 200 million people are currently listed in LinkedIn with a new person creating a LinkedIn profile every two seconds. Based on LinkedIn analytical reports at least 93% of the 160,000 recruiters on LinkedIn use it as a tool to find candidates for jobs they are needing to fill.

Absolutely Abby, returned to Brevard as part of her 18-month mission to reach 1 million job seekers. Abby presented at the Melbourne Library, the Solar Energy Center, Centerpointe Church, and the Brevard Workforce Palm Bay career center, in addition to several smaller groups, reaching more than 400 Brevard County residents. This was Abby’s second visit to Brevard where she continued to focus on strategies to help jobseekers create LinkedIn profiles employers are looking for.

Absolutely Abby’s mission will continue across the country over the next year.
