Veteran Unemployment Rate 2.3 Percent in April
In April 2019, the veteran unemployment rate was 2.3 percent, down from 3.7 percent in April 2018; this represents the lowest veteran unemployment rate in the month of April in the entire data series (started in 2000). The unemployment rate of 2.3 percent is also tied for the lowest monthly rate for veterans for any month in the data series. The non-veteran unemployment rate for April 2019 was 3.3 percent (not seasonally adjusted).
