Our goal with any funding is to get you back to work in a job that leads you to self-sufficiency or helps you maintain your standard of living.

CareerSource Brevard is able to offer training or work experience opportunities through a variety of grants.  Here are some of the opportunities.

Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)

Provides classroom training scholarships to adults and dislocated workers through our system of eligible training providers.  WIOA can also connect you to employers for on the job training.  Read more about WIOA.

Manufacturing and Healthcare Sector Grants

Provides for the development of a “sector strategy” helps both determine and facilitate career services and training to help dislocated workers find employment, and in Brevard, sector strategies are focused on the manufacturing and healthcare.

AARP Foundation BACK TO WORK 50+ Program

CareerSource Brevard is a proud host of the AARP Foundation’s Back to Work 50+ program, designed for offering free workshops on the 7 smart strategies you need to compete for in-demand jobs. Workshop participants have the opportunity to apply for our free coaching program offering skills training, job search guidance, supportive services and more. Click here for more information.

AMERICAN PROMISE GRANT

CareerSource Brevard has recently received an American Promise Grant, to pursue collaborations and solutions for talent development in the IT sector. This special grant can provide training in the IT field for underrepresented workers, including minorities, single parents, limited English speakers, and offenders.  If you are interested in the potential of a Sector Strategy development for IT, contact gsulski@careersourcebrevard.com
